Breathe and Heal Your Body
We know for sure that if you are living, you are breathing. So, what is the big deal about breathing?
The big deal is, that we have a lot of body space to provide the daily supply of oxygen. Our body needs oxygen for the cells to break down whatever we ingest. The body needs to produce energy for whatever your life choices are. As this is not a biology lesson, I will leave it at that.
So… you are alive and must be doing it right.
Although Monks, Gurus, and others have been doing this for centuries, it is only now that it has become a mainstream phenomenon. Even doctors and therapists use breathing exercises when patients panic or need help to combat the lack of oxygen in certain situations.
People are going to breathing masterclasses, meditation courses, and so forth, to learn how to breathe properly. It has become a trend that is truly beneficial and shouldn’t die out like many other trends.
What Are The Benefits Of Breathing Awareness?
When we learn how to take our time and be aware of how we take in oxygen and breathe out the unwanted gasses, we win in many ways.
These are some of the takeaways if you practice breathing correctly.
- You make sure that every part of your body gets enough oxygen
- For the moment you work on breathing properly, you relax too
- Your body is able to replace cells and produce the needed energy
- With time, you increase your chance of combating poor health
- Body awareness and autonomous self-care.
Remember not to start with the hardest meditation positions. The core aim is relaxation and focusing on your subconscious mind.
Positioning yourself in the way that you find is most comfortable for you is crucial for full relaxation. This helps you focus on the most important part of this exercise. You do not want to think or be drawn to aching body parts.
When you relax, you can learn how to focus, not only on your breathing but on the flow of oxygen as your chest rises. Your stomach rises. The serenity of it all.
Holding Your Breath
