Believe in yourself.
You believe in yourself because you are exactly where you were meant to be. You learn from your past and therefore, it was a necessary step to get you to where you are now. Don’t judge and procrastinate because you look at other people’s journeys—Pat yourself on your back for making it thus far. Focus on where you are and where you want to go… your purpose.
Maya Angelou – Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.
This quote resonates with me because it is essential that your purpose is autonomous. How do you feel about yourself?
It isn’t about what others think. It is from within. Listen to your own voice. That doesn’t mean you don’t learn from others. It means you learn and you keep what makes you reach your goals. You make the lessons your stepping stones.
My journey can be summed up by the space between where I am and where I aim to be in the future.
Live in your `now´. Learn to love your present life but have ambitions for making it even better. Love, work, spiritually (not necessarily religion), and mentally. Read, learn, and teach.
Find out what your life’s purpose is. This is not abstract. Find what makes you appreciate your day. This will make you love where you are and where you are going. Your ups should be more than your downs. It can be done.
Open your heart. Reach out and touch someone.
It doesn’t have to be something physical you give. Advice, a hug, a lesson learned passed on, your best recipe. A small gesture can go a long way. Smile at a homeless person, say hi, or forgive someone whom you think doesn’t deserve it. All that is good for you. Make your life a positive one. You will be surprised to find out that finding your purpose also has other perks. You usually have more energy too.
