As a stress coach, there are four categories for stress symptoms:
Acute stress or “green” symptoms:
- Rapid heartbeat
- Temporary shaking or tics
- Sweating
- Dryness in the mouth and difficulty swallowing
- “Butterflies in the stomach”
- Stomach knot
- Urge to pee
- Tense muscles
Moderate stress or “yellow” symptoms:
- Tiredness
- Insomnia
- Racing thoughts
- Inner resistance/ reluctance
- Irritability
- Higher sensitivity (easier to tears)
- Withdraw into oneself
Severe stress or “red” symptoms:
- Low energy
- Forgetfulness
- Weak immune system
- Eczema
- Unexplained pain (headaches, upset stomach, diarrhea, nausea)
- Greater use of alcohol, drugs, and cigarettes
- Aggressiveness
- Less sociability
- Stomach and bowel problems
- Bleeding disorders (for a woman)
Breakdown or “black” symptoms:
- Nervous break down
- Nausea / fainting
- Memory failure
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Other mental and physical disorders
It is important for me as a coach to listen to you and find out which of these categories may apply to you. I do work with most of the symptoms but will advise on seeing a doctor or a therapist in case of severe symptoms that need more work.
If you need us to take the first session, I do the first 30 minutes session free of charge.
